We can assist local community groups (non-profits and NGOs) with legal issues. These mainly relate to governance, employment, charitable status, and lease issues. We can assist you in any of our General Advice drop-in sessions, or if you need information immediately, the community group toolkit may be able to help.
Olive is our Kaiārahi Projects Coordinator, responsible for ensuring legal help is accessible for community groups. If you need help getting something organised, you can email them at olive@wclc.org.nz.
We can also provide discounted Restorative Justice processes for community groups dealing with workplace conflict. These are run by trained and accredited Facilitators. You can read more about Conflict Resolution at Community Law here, or email Naomi at naomi@wclc.org.nz to get the process started.
Community Law would like to acknowledge the support of Wellington City Council in the provision of legal information and services to community groups. Ngā mihi.
