The Student Rights Service

Phone the Student Rights Service now on 0800 499 488

The Student Rights Service is a nationwide free call-back service for parents, whānau, and akōnga (students) run by Community Law Wellington & Hutt Valley.

We provide legal information and practical help on a wide range of issues involving children and young people at primary or secondary school, including bullying, school fees, stand-downs and suspensions.

We don’t give legal advice, but our legally trained volunteers can help you understand your rights and available options to help figure out your next steps.

Please leave a message on 0800 499 488 about your issue and one of our volunteers will get back to you.
