Services for Women

Community Law provides free, confidential legal advice to women at specialist clinics. You will be seen by a woman lawyer and greeted by women staff. Our lawyers on these sessions usually specialise in Family Law, but can provide information and advice on a range of issues.

Like all of our sessions, our Women’s sessions are whānau-friendly, and you are welcome to bring your children. Our services are also expressly trans-friendly – all women are welcome at this clinic.

If you are in an unsafe relationship or home situation, please do not hesitate to call us on 04 499 2928 and ask for urgent help outside of these times. All of our services are totally private and confidential, and we are here to support you.

Our specialist family law clinics are held every week at the following times

  • Monday 12.30pm – 1.30pm in our Wellington | Te Whanganui-a-Tara office, Level 8, 203 Willis St
  • Friday 12am – 1pm in our Lower Hutt | Te Awa Kairangi Office, Level 2, 59 Queens Drive, Lower Hutt

Please also check our outreach clinic timetable for services in your suburb.
